Shower Routine That Actually Works
A daily shower (or at minimum every other day, and always after workouts) is the baseline. But how you shower matters as much as whether you do.
Focus areas
Use a loofah or washcloth — hands alone do not exfoliate well. Hit your armpits, groin, feet between the toes, behind ears, and back of neck. These are where bacteria accumulate fastest.
Deodorant vs antiperspirant
Deodorant masks odor. Antiperspirant reduces sweating. Apply antiperspirant at night — it needs time to plug sweat ducts. Use deodorant in the morning. If you sweat a lot, do both.
Tip: Wash your gym clothes after every use
Bacteria multiply rapidly in sweat-soaked fabric. Do not re-wear gym clothes. Also change your pillowcase every 3-4 days — it has a huge impact on skin and acne.
