Phones, Filming, and Unsolicited Advice

4 min read · intermediate

Your phone is a tool. It becomes a problem when it turns one set into a five-minute scroll. The same goes for filming and giving advice nobody asked for.

Use your phone with purpose

Log the set. Check the cue. Change the song. Then put it down. Attention leaks kill session quality.

Tip: Film like you are not the only person there

Keep the camera tight on your station, avoid catching strangers, and do not block walkways for angles.

When advice is okay

Give input if someone asks, if safety is clearly at risk, or if you already have a relationship with that person. Otherwise let adults train.

Common mistake

Turning every workout into content. If the camera gets more focus than the lift, your priorities are off.

Cologne and scent count too

The gym is already a strong-smelling place. Keep fragrance light and hygiene solid. Nobody needs to breathe your cloud between sets.
